INDONESIA
While on a production trip in the hustle of Bali, Ayla and design girl Maria decided to take the weekend off to escape to the small island of Nusa Lembongan. The fresh air and clean ocean a much needed break from the sweat and stress of mainland Bali, Indonesia.
Nusa Lembongan is only a short boat ride from Bali, but the difference is magic. It is a relatively small island, littered with home stays, warungs, and a few dive centers (a testament to the island’s lively coral reefs). The girls decided to post up in a modest home stay located on the beach (literally) in front of the famed “Shipwrecks” surf break. The bags were set down, swiftly followed by a refreshing swim and a generous lunch. Hiring a scooter is essential on Nusa Lembongan if you want to what it really has to offer. A round trip on the island can be done in under an hour along the quiet, windy roads where lots of stunning scenes are found. After a sunset ride around the island to check out Mushroom Bay, Dream Beach, Panorama Point and the magnificent blow holes at “The Devil’s Teardrop”, the girls found a quiet restaurant overlooking the main beach of Nusa Lembongan where they were acoustically serenaded by two charming locals.
As quickly as the getaway began, it was over the next day. The remainder of the week will be spent around Bali, perfecting our garments for the next seasons. We’re excited to show you what we have in store!
