Introducing the new direction for our label with The Bare Road’s debut Spring | Summer 15 collection, ISLAND WASHED.
This season we go back to basics, with a raw, stripped-back colour palette, inspired by a seascape of charcoals and blues, sultry greys, sleek blacks and crisp, bright white. ISLAND WASHED invites you on a journey, one that leads you down a sand-swept road, to salt-laced beaches.
The Bare Road’s finest quality cottons are long-lasting staples. Leather pieces are beautifully handcrafted and finished. New textures include hand-washed denim and natural linen.
Inspired by the breathtaking panoramic paradise of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, the campaign was directed and shot by photographer Jennifer Stenglein, featuring the fresh and striking New York based model, Jordan Murray.
ISLAND WASHED is a strong story of beauty and femininity, with the underlying traces of the tom-boy style within us, surrounded by the landscape where we feel most at home and driven by the path that leads us back to the sea.
